I have earnestly participated in many sectors of the wine business to educate myself in the many nuanced stratums that exist. From wine bar to private cellar management, to having a Sommelier diploma from the only wine organization certified with the U.S. Department of Education, I have enjoyed cultivating relationships with customers, distributors, retail owners, growers, winery owners and winemakers; globally as well as domestically. My greatest passion is sharing my knowledge and helping people on their journey with wine. At many budget levels I can help you plan a dinner party, coordinate wine/food pairings, menu planning, or help you plan a fun and successful wine tasting. I also enjoy helping those who want to start a little collection of wine to expand their knowledge; good bottles to have on hand when friends or family drop by. "Wine collections" sounds expensive but it doesn't have to be; I just helped someone create a collection with all $15 and under wines!

Experience & Qualifications

Having owned a wine bar and having developed a finely tuned palette, I can discern after a couple of questions what types of wines a customer will like. I work with caterers on wine/food pairings, I work with private clients building their collections, and I entertain several times a month pairing foods with wine. I also work with hospitality clients on wine menu restructuring. I am also a working wine journalist who writes and talks about wine constantly!
