Experience & Qualifications

Your photography mentor should be someone with experience as a teacher and photographer who has a passion for helping others improve their skills. Here are a few of my credentials: As a Senior Photo Coach for the largest national wedding photography company in the United States I helped prepare photographers creatively and technically for their assignment work. I have provided coaching to close to one thousand photographers throughout the United States with two hundred under my direct mentoring. My personal experience includes being the lead wedding photographer and mentoring associate photographers on assignments throughout the United States. I have developed and refined training programs and procedures for photographers at all skill levels. I test and evaluate photographic equipment and software for training purposes. I am experienced at counseling individual photographers on work related goals and objectives and have personally reviewed hundreds of portfolios and wedding assignments for beginning and seasoned professional photographers. I teach professional photography both in classroom environments and one on one. To date I have facilitated photography workshops in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Texas, Illinois, Florida and Massachusetts and served as a creative and technical adviser to a national recruiting team and senior company management. I own and operate a wedding & portrait studio and am familiar both in theory and practice with the operation of a professional portrait, wedding and commercial studio.
