I can offer advice based on 14 years of professional experience - including percussion performance, education, retail, and repair. From preparing a performance, to carefully selecting instruments and implements, to tuning and maintaining instruments, to specific playing techniques, to composing and arranging for percussion, I am glad to share what I have learned and be honest about that which is not my experience. I have extensive experience with concert and orchestral percussion, marching percussion, drum set, Taiko, and Latin percussion. Percussionists of various levels, along with music educators, ensemble and program directors, retailers, designers, and repairpersons can benefit from consulting with me.

I have professional experience as a solo and ensemble performer, percussion educator, ensemble and program director, retail store manager and corporate percussion buyer, percussion repairperson, music program consultant, and composer/arranger, and I have worked in a variety of settings with primary and secondary school students, college students, high risk youth, and adults in Texas and North Carolina. I am sponsored by major percussion companies, and, in addition to my freelance work, I am president and artistic director of a nonprofit music education corporation in North Carolina.
