I am a saxophone and flute instructor. I can give advice on practice techniques, performance mechanics, minor repairs, performance literature, saxophone reeds and mouthpieces and instrument selection. I also can give advice on how to use Apple's music notation software GarageBand, whether it be using the loops, writing music using the program or giving good keyboard shortcuts.

Experience & Qualifications

I have played the saxophone for 19 years and the flute for 12 years. I play all four of the main saxophones. I have been teaching private lessons in the Wichita, KS area for 10 years. I currently teach part time at Friends University directing the Saxophone Quartet. I have played various styles of music from Classical to Jazz to Rock to Praise and Worship. I currently play in the Morse Code Saxophone Quartet, a group I assembled to provide my high school students an opportunity to perform. I also have been working with GarageBand for the last two years having released an album independently entirely written, mixed, and recorded using GarageBand. For proof of the ability of the program look up my album Story of Life on iTunes. I currently have a second album in the works to be released by the end of the summer of 2009 also entirely done using GarageBand.
