I teach technique for singing. once your technique is good, i focus on styling. Unless you were born with a true tone deafness, you can sing! if you have any problems with any thing, like breathing, sounding either too breathy/soft or too loud/strong; reaching the high notes, not enough range, tone quality (keeping a consistent sound thru the range) and getting or avoiding breaks ( or cracking) let me know, and I'll give advice re: how to change to a more desired voice. I have taught a variety of people from all walks of life how to sing for over 15 yrs both in private and in class settings. I am the vocal instructor/coach for gospel choirs. You will find me to be trustworthy and safe, and I won't talk down to you at all.
I have performed in music theatre, classical choral, opera performance, blues, gospel, latin, pop and jazz standards. Teaching voice is my life's work. I learned from Dr. Scott Martin, a julliard graduate, and am a speech level singing certified instructor in my own music studio. As should be, i keep up with my own voice by taking lessons twice/mo. I always learn from them and impart that knowl. to you.
