Currently Staff Photographer at The Journal News. Freelance photographer for The Village Voice, The Daily News and The New York Times.
Recipient of a New York City Percent Per Art Commission and two time winner of the New York State Publishers Association for breaking news photography. Ricky has been recognized for his outstanding work on the attack on September 11th and his documentary photography of the decline of the South Bronx during the 1980's and the birth of Hip-Hop and break dancing. He is currently well versed in multimedia platforms including the use of sound slide shows, video and video editing as well as extensive knowledge on field reporting and turning work around quickly for your clients under deadline conditions.
