I assist nonprofits with all aspects of grantseeking, including grant writing, prospect research and grants management, with a focus on foundations. My services include grant proposal and report writing, proposal template creation, foundation prospect research, advising and coaching on the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of foundation donors, and developing efficient and user-friendly grant submission systems.

Experience & Qualifications

During my nine years of grantwriting experience, I’ve written proposals garnering more than $13 million in grant funding from many prominent national and regional foundations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and The California Wellness Foundation. I have extensive experience with local and regional foundations throughout the United States, as well as national foundations. I’ve written hundreds of grant proposals, letters of inquiry and grant reports. Prior to my grantwriting career, I was an attorney for five years with a successful business litigation practice. I understand how to use writing as a tool for advocacy. As an attorney and as a grantwriter, I have honed my skills as a researcher and writer, with strong organizational and time management skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail. I care passionately about helping effective nonprofits advance their missions and am driven to produce meaningful results for my clients. I am a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the American Association of Grant Professionals. I am a registered Fundraising Consultant with the State of California, Registry of Charitable Trusts.
