I have been writing creatively for my entire life. At a young age I used to climb 50 foot pine trees on our property, armed with a notebook and a pen.
I would find safety on the tree branches and write my heart out. Often I would find myself thinking of scenarios that were beyond my reach at that age. I love to write and I love to visualize a story. Most of all, I enjoy writing on demand. Feel free to contact me with a request and idea of what you would like to see for an image.

SHALLOW WATERS
Shallow waters surround my feet,
As I gaze into the sunset of the horizon.
My mind is deep in thought,
My heart echoes with the distant thunder.
This place that I come to rest,
Is the same place that I come to think,
to feel good, to feel bad, to feel anything.
This place that I love the most is here.
The surf slowly falls from the tips of my toes,
As the rising water recedes into the deep ocean.
A metaphor of my life, rising then falling then rising—
leaving small impressions on many grains of sand.
small impressions on many lives I have known.
I step back a few feet to reminisce at the glory of the ocean,
And seat myself in the moist grains of the soul of the earth.
The salty water rises again and this time covers my legs—
though cold, it was a warm
feeling of peace that keeps me from moving.
My dreams are wild with imagination,
Soaring with the huge white birds above me,
Crackling with the gigantic waves in front of me,
Warm with the heat of the dropping sun.
I am alive, full of energy and hope,
This day is one of many that I will dig my feet into the sand.
Breathing in the air of my life and my dreams,
While shallow waters surround my feet.
