Retired CPA/CFE with many years of broad-based experience in search of challenging part-time work. My business experience has included 30+ years with an international manufacturing conglomerate where I have gained expertise as Director of Internal Audit, Director of Corporate Compliance, and Corporate Tax. This background has been supplemented by the audit/tax experience obtained by working on a wide range of clientele at a Big 5 public accounting firm.
During my years in charge, Internal Audit at my prior employer experienced its greatest growth, increasing from 9 auditors at one office covering 200 locations to 52 auditors working from offices in 3 cities with responsibility for financial/operational audits at over 450 international sites.
I developed the Risk-Based Audit Methodology for our Company, established the MIS Audit and Contractor Audit sections of the Department, and participated in all Fraud Audit and Due Diligence work done by the department. In addition, I coordinated the Department's involvement with the annual independent audit and directed all Special Management Requests.
I have extensive experience in making presentations (both oral and written) to various levels of Management and the Board of Directors. I also understand all aspects of Internal/External Auditing, Financial Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, and Tax Planning/Reporting.
