Experience & Qualifications

|
Simon Oram has been in the security industry for over 15 years where he has held positions from security officer, site supervisor, Operations Manager, Training Manager to Branch Manager. During this time, he instructed both security staff as well as undercover agents for numerous contract security companies. He is a Certified Protection Officer through the International Foundation for Protection Officers as well as Certified in Homeland Security Level III with the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute of Forensic Science (ACFEI). For 14 years he served as a Scout Sniper in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. A graduate of 2nd Marine Division Basic Scout Sniper School, where he was awarded High Shooter honors, he was called to active duty for Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002, as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. As a Marine, Simon Oram has attended and graduated from the Scout Sniper Basic School, Summer Mountainous Scout Sniper Course, Reserve Scout Sniper Course, SERE (Code of Conduct) and the Sergeants Course. He was also an instructor at a Counter-Sniper Course given in Lithuania.
Simon is a certified instructor in many nationally recognized programs, ranging from Fire Arms use to First Aid and Security operations.
OSC has guest instructors from a wide range of backgrounds and specialties. Military, Local Law Enforcement, Bail Enforcement and State Marshals make up some of the instructors that we can pull from to personalize our training for you
