I am a real estate developer. Between 1982 and 2009, I have developed millions of dollars (20+ projects) worth of commercial and residential real estate. In 1998, I also founded havePower, LLC (www.havepower.com), a successful hydrogen fuel cell infrastructure developer that has installed fuel cell infrastructure for three states (PA, OH & MD) and the US military. I also run a pension fund for a DC-based law firm. I am an adjunct professor of business and finance at Montgomery College's Rockville, MD campus. I have taught courses for seven semesters. I have degrees in economics (Brown university, 1976) and law (Boston University, 1979).
As an attorney with several large DC law firms, between 1979 and 1996, I represented oil companies, pipeline companies, real estate developers, banks and savings and loans. I negotiated scores of millions of dollars of contracts and entrepreneurial deals. I was general counsel to several development firms before entering the deal world as a principal. I have served on the board of directors of a military and intelligence products R&D, manufacturing and supply firm. I understand (and teach) finance as well as marketing.
