Experience & Qualifications

I am a Senior Executive with a very successful track record at identifying strategic growth opportunities and leading aggressive revenue growth efforts in both start-up and corporate environments. I have deep expertise and contacts in Internet marketing and speak Spanish fluently and French and Russian with proficiency. Most recently I have served for three years as Senior Vice-President of Self Help Solutions at EL DORADO MARKETING GROUP in Wellesley, MA. El Dorado was an early stage venture backed by Bain Capital and Maveron (Howard Schultz of Starbucks) focused on creation and distribution of branded Hispanic ESL and self help content. I was responsible for all Product Development and Marketing. As such I conceived and led the development of the flagship product (Special Purpose English product line). I secured a vendor Agreement with Walmart as well as a 4-year Celebrity Spokesperson relationship with Fernando Arau, top Hispanic TV personality. I was part of the Senior Management team that raised funds from Bain and Maveron. Prior to El Dorado I spent two years as Vice-President, Director at DIGITAS LLC in Boston, MA which is a leading Interactive Agency now part of Publicis Worldwide. I was the Client Strategy Lead for Proctor and Gamble, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and L.L. Bean. Key strategic and operating wins include leading my team through the P&G interactive agency consolidation process to be selected as one of 7 preferred interactive agencies for P&G brands from a consideration set of 30 agencies. I led my team through the standardization and optimization strategies across all Gillette branded online marketing initiatives. In addition, I led the development of the business case for online marketing for Gillette’s leading razor product resulting in largest investment to date in online marketing for product launch. My work at Wyeth consisted of designing the online relationship management strategy for their physician customer segment. At L.L. Bean I led the annual state of e-commerce analysis and competitive review that the client used to build their annual growth strategy. I spent five excellent years at DOUBLECLICK (the leading internet advertising solutions company recently acquired by Google). At DoubleClick I was consistently asked to take on new, challenging areas that needed to be figured out quickly or where leadership was needed urgently. As Vice-President, General Manager of Website Analytics I took the product line from 4 to 40 customers in the first full year of business unit operations. Prior to that I served as Vice-President, General Manager of the West Coast office where I was in charge of a $40M book of business and a team of sales, technical and account management personnel. In that role I was able to devise innovative client acquisition strategies that resulted in seven figure deals with clients such as Electronic Arts and Intel. As Vice-President and General Manager of Email List Services I grew sales from $4M in 2000 to $9M in 2001. Immediately following business school I spent two years consulting with Renaissance Worldwide in Chicago and Stamford, CT. As a Senior Management Consultant I assisted leading high technology and telecommunications firms in their sales force optimization efforts, product line reconciliation and technology innovation practices. Prior to business school I spent three exciting years in Eastern Europe where I opened the Moscow office for APPLE COMPUTER IMC and became Education Division Manager where I was responsible for introducing the Macintosh computer to the Educational Community in Russia and the former Soviet Republics. I developed a strong distribution network of 60 Education resellers and increased sales 700%.
