I am the Founder and CEO of Atqana + Associates, where I am directly responsible for corporate vision and strategic planning. My passion for entrepreneurship and marketing are exemplified in my professional background. My diverse experience includes overseeing the creative direction of a retail enterprise, sales and marketing management, consulting and conducting business seminars and expos. I possess a results-oriented approach focused on the development of new business opportunities and building organizational capabilities for innovation and sustainability, particularly small and newly emerging companies.
I attended Babson College prior to graduating from North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. During and subsequent to graduation, I held managerial positions in sales and the retail industry as well as licensure for the sale of mutual funds. I also owned and operated Shades of the Nubian, a manufacturer of natural skin and hair care products. I'm a candidate for a degree in the Executive MBA program at the University of Maryland University College.
My commitment to corporate social responsibility is demonstrated in outside business ventures and charities, including speaking with disadvantaged women about entrepreneurship and donating service pro-bono to non-profit organizations. As the mother of two children residing in Montgomery County, Maryland, I also am uniquely qualified to understand the challenges facing female entrepreneurs.
