I started Angel Acres on a shoe-string budget and have managed to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome over 240 horses in just over 5 years. We have increased the operating budget by 20% each year (even in this economny) through grant writing, fundraising, donations, adoption fees, etc.

Experience & Qualifications

I ran a large sports bar & restaurant for 5 years, prior to that was in the service industry for 10 years. Also have extensive antique and collectibles experience and now run one of the largest and best 501c3 non profit horse rescues on the East Coast of the United States. Human skills are exceptional and take peoples feelings to heart, no matter what the situation, believe that customer service and kindness is the key to success, in any field.
*I spend a great deal of time speaking to people about starting up and running a non-profit.
*I can tell you what worked for us, and what hasn't worked and can give you advice on your thoughts & ideas.
*I work with some of the largest animal welfare groups in the country and am well versed in equine aspect of animal welfare.
*I sit on several different non profit board of directors.
*Extremely experienced in rehabilitating large animals from neglect, abuse and starvation.
