My expertise includes marketing, public relations, member services, operations, executive management, board recruitment and retention, accounting and finance, human resources, and nonprofit start-up (writing a business plan, 501(c)(3) application, etc.).

Experience & Qualifications

Have worked as an employee or consultant for small to mid-sized nonprofits, including professional trade associations, schools and other learning institutions, arts-related organizations, human services organizations, and start-up nonprofits.
I've acted as executive director for two nonprofits, including one nonprofit that I started from the ground up as well as marketing director, member services director, operations director, and marketing/pr/communications consultant.
I have a degree in Business from Geneva College and in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
My biggest strengths are writing and implementing marketing, pr, and member services plans. I am a pro at getting 6 cents out of every nickel. I'm good at evaluating where money is being spent and cutting back (without sacrificing the staff or quality of output) and maximizing resources--which may not necessarily mean people.
I also have corporate experience which actually I've found very useful in doing things like SWOT analysis.
