Experience & Qualifications

I am a licensed attorney who began volunteering during college. I continued volunteering while practicing law and found that the fundraising and event planning I did as a volunteer to be so fulfilling that I wanted to work in the field. I began as a fundraiser, then went on to be a development director. In 2000 I was hired as an executive director of a small nonprofit that needed to be reorganized and worked there for more than 8 years. In 2001, I co-founded a countywide coalition that is still operating. In 2008 I helped a group of volunteers start up a nonprofit. I continue to volunteer, and am a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas. I am also a member of Leadership Dallas Class of 2005. I have received awards from local and state organizations for my advocacy.
