My Expert Service

I believe that the reason financial success is so elusive to so many people, is that there are certain universal laws that surround personal finances.
For example, gravity is a universal law. What goes up, must come down. Whether you believe in this law or not, it is still going to affect you. If you choose to ignore it, or pretend it doesn't exist you will probably suffer severe consequences as a result. (Especially if you try to play superman off of your roof!)
Similarly, ignoring the laws that surround personal finances will likely result in a life-time of debilitating debt and financial hardships.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. Regardless of your income, I can teach you how to master the laws of personal finances so that you no longer have to eke out a meager day-to-day existence with no future to look forward to.
In my sessions, I'll start you off with goal setting, because all successful financial plans will begin with a clear picture of where you want to end up. Then I will proceed to work with you on each individual step, or law of financial success, until you feel you've got the correct habits and motivations in place to make a long-term difference.
When the Wright brothers invented the first airplane, it appeared to others that they could violate the law of gravity. But in reality they learned not to violate that law, but learned how it worked and how to master it. You can do the same with your own finances. Eventually you can learn to soar among those who have found financial success, not because it came easy, or because you know some sort of magic trick, but because you learned the laws of financial success and you mastered them.

Experience & Qualifications
|
|
In addition to my education and professional certification, I have a passion for personal finance and the individuals I work with. I have chosen to work in a university setting because that’s where I feel I can make the most difference. This also enables me to give completely unbiased financial advice because I am not selling any specific products and receive no commissions on anything I suggest. As a result you get crystal clear advice on the best steps to take for your own personal situation.
I frequently lecture on a variety of topics including budgeting, insurance, emergency savings, identity theft, debt reduction, retirement planning, saving for kid’s college, home-buying, car-buying, estate planning, etc. I also write finance columns for a local paper, and am the editor of a university personal finance newsletter.
From my experience, I’ve learned that personal finance is not only about making the math add up, but it’s also about building good habits, being motivated, making it fun, and sticking to a long-term plan.
