From 1957 to approximately 1970, operated my own R.E. brokerage firm on the Near North Side of Chicago, where my specialty was the management, rental and sales of smaller vintage and unique apartment buildings, including my very own. During the 1960's, became a Marketing Director (Rental and Management) for Metropolitan Structures, Inc., a leading Chicago developer and builder of most of the Mies van der Rohe designed apartment buildings in the U.S. From approximately 1981 to 2005 was a licensed R.E. Broker in NYC, specializing in the rental, management and renovation of smaller apartment buildings, e.g., brownstones, including my very own. Now retired and unlicensed, I continue to own and manage a residential/mixed-use brownstone building.

Whether you are the personal owner of a multi-family dwelling or a professional agent in charge of someone else's property,I can help you with the strategies and decisions arising from the ownership, management and renovation of income-producing property. My Chicago experiences included participation in the develpment by private owners of "Old Town", originally "Old Wells" (Wells St. to and beyond North Ave.). My advertising campaign "Bored With Glass Houses?" brought me to the attention of a leading developer of glass houses, Metropolitan Structures, Inc., for whom I became a Marketing Director for several Mies van der Rohe apartment buildings in Chicago and Baltimore, actually working one-on-one occasionally with Mies's project architects in the layout and features of certain new apartments.
The U.S. Dept. of Interior course in Savannah, GA was a technical workshop on the rehabilitation of historic buildings, cosponsored by the National Park Service, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the Association for Preservation Technology.
I have renovated vintage, unique and historic properties; regularly strategize rental ideas for apartments and regularly manage such properties. I've written marketing manuals for developers, rental protocols for real estate agents, and management and occupancy guidelines for tenants. I can offer renting and management suggestions to real estate agents as well, especially where their firms or colleagues come up short on training, mentoring or educational resources.
