I have more than 15 years of executive experience leading teams and guiding careers,including roles as a CEO, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information and Program Consultant. During that time I have helped to guide the careers of employees, managers and professionals at all levels providing tips and strategies on how to position themselves for advancement. I write and lecture on a wide range of issues relating to career coaching including self-leadership, the strategic use of personality assessments, and the importance of cultivating a professional network of peers and mentors. My approach is to use my unique backgrounds in leadership, business and psychology to help others shape their goals and create concrete action plans that lead to personal and professional success.

Dr. K. Candis Best is an educator, consultant, speaker and author. She is the author of Leaving Legacies: Reflections from the Prickly Path to Leadership, an entertaining and moving account of her eleven year odyssey as a public health executive that was recognized by USA Book News as one of the best books of 2008. She is Board Certified in Health Care Management and a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and a member of the International Association of Coaches. Her research interests include leadership development, career management, transpersonal studies and self-leadership coaching.
