In 1990 and 1991 I got the chance to be trained in Brazil as a leader coach and motivator which complemented my professional training-degrees in psychology and psychotherapy BS-MS (1999). I have worked as a certified coach since 1991 and as a psychotherapist since 1996 in South America, as a MFT (marriage and family therapist) in California, and as a mental health therapist in Arizona and Nevada since January 2002. My most recent degree is a MA in Integral-Transpersonal psychology from John F. Kennedy University.

We use to have hard times whenever we are faced by difficulties that challenge our ego. Most of the time, we tend to avoid facing these challenges or we do deal with them in destructive ways, mainly because of not having learned more assertive functional ways to take care of ourselves, to communicate our feelings and fears, to be ourselves, which mainly shapes our relationships and circumstances in life.
My approach is focused on promoting your insight about why you think, feel and react the way you do, to support you to take advantage of your own skills and potential and to guide you on taking care of your emotional needs and wounds that are not allowing you to mindfully and gently take good care of your life and your relationships with others.
I do take into account exploring and working on the issues affecting your mood and functioning, and facilitating the learning of personal tools that would allow you to ventilate, understand and process feelings, as well as to promote concrete changes in your life.
You could expect to receive sincere, ethical, assertive and emphatic support even in those moments when denial and avoidance are your worst enemies. I will challenge your ego and promote the awakening and nurture of your real self.

Experience & Qualifications

My first position as a coach started in 1991 after completing my first training on leadership, coaching and motivation in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1990 which was completed by the end of 1991. I got the chance to keep working as an expert coach for the same non-profit agency until the end of 2000. This experience was unique for me and totally complemented my professional training and experience as a mental health specialist.
Thus my work experience was gained working on outpatient mental health clinics, non-profit agencies, inpatient clinics and through my private practice, supporting individuals, couples and groups through weekly motivational, self-development, communication, assertiveness and mindfulness-meditation classes.
I did extensive research in hypnotherapy since the beginning of the 90s. I have worked as a hypnotherapist in my private practice since 1996. I was also trained and certified as a hypnotherapist in CA in 2003, which showed real effectiveness promoting people's ability to improve their self-image and self-esteem, assertiveness, communication skills, self-development and coping with the common and sometimes overwhelming challenges of accepting ourselves and developing healthy relationships.
