Why do gifted adults have special needs?
People take in experience at different rates. Gifted people take in more, compared to their peers, but we all have the same 24/7 to process that experience. Taking in so much more than those around them results in the gifted becoming highly sensitive and often emotionally vulnerable. These extra-sensitivities are described in the article "The Funnel and Cylinder Theory of Giftedness" at my website.
How can Personal Coaching help? Talking with someone who understands the profound emotional needs, appetites, and frustrations that come with being gifted is something ALL gifted people need. Too often, people with intellectual, creative, physical, spiritual, or emotional gifts are misunderstood, disparaged or neglected. All people benefit from emotional support and good counsel...yet the MORE exceptional an individual is, the LESS likely she or he has satisfactorily experienced either. Working with someone who specializes in working with the gifted can help a gifted person learn to appreciate and be comfortable with their gifts and their limitations.
I have been working with gifted adults for over 20 years. If you aren't finding your way, if you feel "different" and don't know why, if you become an "expert" in whatever you need even when it has nothing to do with what your degree is in, or people are surprised to find out that you don't have any degree, but your career, relationships, parenting, or just life in general don't seem to be "fulfilling your potential" then contact me. I will listen to you, help you find your way, believe you when you tell me how it is for you, and help you understand what it means to be out on the statistical fringes, and how to figure out what you want and how to get there.

Coaching/consulting experience in career, academic, relationship, spiritual, emotional, religious, etc., issues that my clients have had that are significantly influenced by their giftedness.

Incredibly Insightful, clear communicator, extremely helpful. She nailed my issues on the head, and did more for me in 50 minutes than 2 months of therapy! Gave me great advice, extremely good listener, gave me some excellent exercises, links and suggestions for further reading.. I'm completely satisfied!
