I provide expert statistical advice and solutions on a variety of statistical problems from design of experiments to time series analysis. My experience with statistical and econometric software includes many different softwares, including SAS, Minitab, S+/R, X-12-ARIMA, and SEATS. All written responses include step-by-step descriptions of the solution and a list of references used. I have excellent communication skills and a talent for being able to communicate difficult concepts in a nontechnical way that everyone can understand. I have extensive experience in the following areas: Base SAS, SAS/Graph, SAS/ETS, Minitab, R, X-12-ARIMA, SEATS, statistical graphs, time series analysis (including ARIMA models, forecasting, and seasonal adjustment), regression analysis, ANOVA, t-tests, design of experiments, sample design, sample size, large-scale data collection, price indexes, quality assurance, editing/imputation of data, combinatorics, set theory, probability, and graph theory. Experience & Qualifications

I have over 18 years experience providing statistical consulting services and over 16 years of programming experience (including SAS and S+/R). I worked for 13 years for the US Census Bureau where I wrote software in SAS and in FORTRAN for production of both price indexes and seasonal adjustments. I also have extensive experience with the seasonal adjustment packages X-12-ARIMA and TRAMO/SEATS. I also provided support services for various surveys. This included survey design, cost models, regression modeling, statistical time series modeling for forecasting and data exploration, seasonal adjustment, benchmarking, regARIMA time series modeling, hedonic and fixed-weight price indices (using Fischer, Laspeyres, and Passche formulas), quality control, and editing/imputation. Before working for the Census Bureau, I worked at University of Iowa Hospitals, providing statistical support for various research projects, especially in the areas of design of experiments and sample size calculations. I also have over 9 years of teaching experience, currently teaching statistics at a local university and high school algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. I often teach short courses on time series and seasonal adjustment. I have experience not just in programming software, but in the area of writing, especially for software manuals and math textbooks. I am now a free-lance consultant working on mostly seasonal adjustment and benchmarking projects for customers in the United States and Europe.
