Ø Systems programmer and migration engineer, responsible for the upgrade and transition from OS/390 2.5 to OS/390 2.10 and Z/OS, covering all aspects of transition including IBM, Candle, Computer Associates, Compuware and other 3rd party software products.
Ø Client disintegration manager, covering all aspects of client disintegration from the migration of client data, securities of client data and the removal and decommissioning of the client hardware, PC and mainframe OS/390 systems.
Ø Systems management and technical support, managing the support of various software systems including TSO, JCL, JES2, ISPF, JCL, MVS, OS/390, Z/OS and PC systems. Plus third party products from Candle, Computer Associates and Compuware, hardware platforms and network systems. Ensuring that all mainframe, printing and PC systems are available to the customer at all times.
Ø OS/390 Systems disaster recovery, managing the implementation and recovery of the client data at a designated remote recovery site. This included senior technical support management for all problem incidents and resolutions, PC and mainframe OS/390 systems.
Ø Due diligence manager, covering the scoping of current levels of customer service, hardware, software specification, licensing and implementation, leading onto the integration and management of the transition from the customers current hardware and software platforms to the new remote hardware and software systems (OS/390) ensuring that the current service levels are maintained.
Ø Internal BSI credited auditor, managing the implementation and specifications relating to the quality control systems and procedures used to ensure compliance by staff to the correct level of quality.
Ø DB2 DBA covering the planning, installation and transition to the latest version of IBM DB2 database systems for a large insurance company client.
Ø Database administrator, covering the management of data and associated database and table structures to facilitate the most efficient methods of data access, data security from the area of recoverability and unauthorised access to the data.
Ø Internet and intranet development, managing the development and implementation of web based calendars, job, change and work request tracking systems and software licensing tracking and notification systems.
