I use Wolfram mathematica almost every day. I prototype mathematical puzzles/games with it, use it for runtime analysis, generate code in other languages with it (so as to speed up their performance by transferring some calculations to the before-run time), use it to design scoring functions for games, use it for teaching,... you name it. Almost everything I do in programming, I do first in mathematica, because it is so incredibly powerful and easy to use, not forcing you to even think about annoying low level stuff like allocating arrays, and the like. What's 3 pages in JAVA, is often only 3 lines in mathematica. I love it, and it is a pleasure for me to pass on the comfortable joy of abstract high level mathematical thinking that is ingrained in mathematica.

- 10 years experience as a teaching assistant in mathematics and computer science. (Linear Algebra I/II, Algebra I/II, Number Theory I, Calculus I/II/III, Computer Science I-IV, Theoretical Computer Science, Pascal Programming.)
- Thorough knowledge of Java, C, SQL, JavaScript, ActionScript, XML, Objective-C, Perl Regular Expressions, Max/MSP, basic knowledge of C++, VB/VBA, JMP (SAS Statistics package), Matlab.
- Over 10 years of experience as a programmer in a diversity of fields, e.g. mathematical games/puzzles, web programming (client and server), audio applications.
- Over 20 years of experience as a private tutor in mathematics (hi school math, college math for mathematicians, physicists, engineers, economists, teachers, computer scientists, etc.) and computer science.
- Platforms: Windows, iPhone, Nintendo DS.
