Head of Compute/IT Department • We have 120 computers in computer labs, classrooms, library, special education, staff rooms and offices. The system also has 4 separate servers and 4 internet sites. • My job description includes responsibility for the IT budget, purchases, installation and maintenance for the various systems. Contacts with suppliers and deciding whom to purchase from, negotiating with suppliers and final recommendation to Governing Board as to whom to work with. Planning for future development of the entire system and making appropriate recommendations. • One technician works under my charge. • I was responsible for planning and building the schools computer systems from scratch introduced the school into the "Internet era" Educational Responsibilities: • Teaching multimedia programmes (Photoshop, PSP, PowerPoint, Video Editing. • Site construction (with students) including the implementation of on-line discussion groups and forums within the learning environment. • Responsibility for content of web sites • Leading, along with another teacher, an on-line activity with 11th – 12th grade students from Sulam Tsor and Carmel High School in Indiana, USA. This 2 year project culminated with a journey of our pupils to Indiana. • Preparing students and staff in improving spoken English skills before exchange trips to the USA and Germany. • Working with educationally disadvantaged children on a one to one basis to improve their self confidence and self esteem. 2000 - 2001 Deputy Administrator of the "Wide Angle" regional ISP 1995 – 2000 Instructor at the "Wide Angle" Teachers Center associated with the Branko-Weiss Institute. I was a member of a team set up to integrate computers into the school environment to provide courses and on-site guidance and instruction for teachers. The job description also included defining the needs for each school and planning workshops to meet those specific needs, preparing the materials needed for the implementation of the workshop. Including writing instructional texts, translating from Hebrew to English and visa versa and providing on-site support on a regular basis 1992 -1993 Part time computer teacher at "Ma'ayanot" Primary school at Kibbutz Cabri and part time youth coordinator at Kibbutz Bet HaEmek. 1989 - 1992 Class teacher "Ma'ayanot" Primary school at Kibbutz Cabri for grades 4-6.
