RESEARCH SUMMARY OF DOCTORAL WORK
In the thesis entitled “Extractive Separation and Determination of Metal ions by Using Carbonyl Derivatives as Chelating Agents” , the researcher has envisaged the use of benzyloxybenzaldehydethiosemicarbazone(BBTSC) as an analytical reagent for the extractive spectrophotometric determination of metal ions like palladium(II) and copper(II) and 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehydeisonicotinoylhydrazone(3,4-DHBINH) for the spectrophotometric determination of metal ions like vanadium(V), chromium(VI), titanium(IV) and palladium(II). It also includes the study of antibacterial activity of BBTSC, 3,4-DHBINH and its metal complexes with structural characterization

I contacted Dr.S. Lakshmi Narayana for a chemistry question about carrier oils. I provided a link to an abstract which stated that coconut oil can penetrate the hair shaft. Narayana's response was that "coconut oil penetrates the har shaft and he gve me a link to a site that SELLS coconut oil. He also sent me a link describing the hair shaft. I could have found these sites and information myself easily on a search engine. His answer had NO chemistry behind it and he only sent back information that I had already sent him. I did not hire an expert so that he can provide me with links I can find myself or links to purchase coconut oil. His services are not those of an expert.
