My speciality is organic chemistry reactions. I have written a workbook designed to help students, "The Language of Organic Chemistry, A Guide to Organic Chemistry Mechanisms". It contains a detailed step by step process for learning reactions.
The key to organic chemistry is knowing the reaction mechanism. I already have most reaction mechanisms written out so I can deliver a solution to students without added work.
If you can learn one example of a reaction, you can use it to solve other problems yourself. Using that philosophy and my book, I added 20 percentile points to my class average on the ACS Standardized Exam for Organic Chemistry.
