I have four years of experience in the public school system as an elementary school teacher and Gifted Specialist. I have worked as a teacher trainer and a co-teacher helping other educators to meet the needs of the gifted students in their classrooms. My work has been published in professional journals and I continue my professional development by attending conferences on the local and National levels.

Experience & Qualifications

I have been an elementary classroom teacher for grades 1 and 2 and a Gifted Specialist, math and science, for grades 3 through 5. I hold a Master's Degree in Teaching from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and a valid Florida teaching certificate for grades k-6 as well as a gifted endorsement for the state of Florida. My article, "NCLB and Its Implications on Identifying and Teaching Gifted Students," was published in the Winter 2008 edition of the Gifted Educational Press.
