I have many successful methods that resulted in great gains for my students in all areas, especially on the “test”. I taught drawing and painting as a subject in the first week of school, and can explain the method.
That was followed by jigsaw puzzle strategies for another week, which I will also explain.
Their confidence rose so high that teaching academics was easy. Along the way, I also wrote a textbook for beginning reading and writing which was so easy to follow that even special ed kids could learn to read and students could teach it to other students. My first graders even tutored 3rd and 4th graders who came to my class for reading every morning.
In the 3rd grade I also included square dancing and then my students scored higher, on average, than 3rd graders in the entire state, in all ten areas tested. The arts improve academics and behavior; I proved this in gang-infested areas of a major US city.
Anyone can follow my methods and it takes no “extra federal funding”.

Twenty-four years in public schools and now in the 2nd year of my own pre-k.
I recorded the most successful procedures and activities into my book, also a textbook/handbook written initially for parents but used also by teachers. It was my own handbook, as well. My students all had a copy. One principal ordered it for all 1st and 2nd grade classrooms and praised it as an easy to follow method.
