I have had numerous trainings that directly pertain to, and indirectly pertain to the tutoring of children. Much of my information is coming from personal experiences though. I have received trainings of the following: Importance of team building, Student behavior management, Using your communication style effictively, How to lead successful and effective meetings, Classroom management-working with students effectively, Communicating with impact, Fear and self esteem- the human blue print, Conflict resolution in the workplace, ParaReading- Training Guide For Tutors (LETRS) and Train the trainer. I have received many other trainings as well.

If you have a question about what to do, need a game or something to help the child to get going on reading, I have had a lot of exposure to these things. I work in the school in class rooms and also with a team of 7 other tutors, so I have the benefits of getting things from them as well. So not only will I be sharing my own personal experiences, I would be sharing the thoughgts and lessons from many long time teachers and the insight from the amazing people I work with.

My experience is from doing the work. I have been tutoring children in the public school system for 2 years through the Tonasket AmeriCorps system. Last year I was working with 6-8th grade, 3rd grade, and 1st grade. This year I am working with 1-5th grade.
