My Expert Service
|
|
I am a Doctorate level School Psychologist. I am well versed in Psycho-education evaluations and assessments. I understand and can explain standardized testing instruments used in school district as part of the determination of eligibility in special education. I am knowledgeable in all areas of Educational Categories of Disabilities. I assist families in the writing of their children’s IEP’s and attend IEP meetings as an advocate for the families.
I have tested and assisted students from Kindergarten to 12th grade and their families through the "confusing" special education process.
I have also, worked independently with families of college age students and their 504 plans with Universities.
I am knowledgeable in Section 504 (Americans with Disabilities Act) and which disabilities benefit from Special Education or Section 504 and/or both.
As a practicing School Psychologist, I attend trainings to “keep abreast” of the changes in the law as well as new and updated testing instruments.
I am a compassionate and passionate professional about students with disabilities. I have 12 years experience in the public school setting as a School Psychologist and 3 years as a classroom teacher.
