I'm doing private tutoring since more than 20 years now, for all age groups from teenager to retiree. So I had a lot of time to elaborate my "warm, warmer, warmest" technique of never just throwing the right answer at the students, but to guide them towards discovery of the (or rather, a) solution through a series of carefully constructed questions. That might be slower in the short run, and drives students crazy, who show up 1 day before the exam knowing very little, but in the long run, it builds up confidence and real problem solving skills. I am proud to say, I believe I cured some students from math-phobia. But that never happens in a day.

- 10 years experience as a teaching assistant in mathematics and computer science. (Linear Algebra I/II, Algebra I/II, Number Theory I, Calculus I/II/III, Computer Science I-IV, Theoretical Computer Science, Pascal Programming.)
- Over 20 years of experience as a private tutor in mathematics (hi school math, college math for mathematicians, physicists, engineers, economists, teachers, computer scientists, etc.) and computer science.
- Over 10 years of experience as a programmer in a diversity of fields, e.g. mathematical games/puzzles, web programming (client and server), audio applications.
- Platforms: Windows, iPhone, Nintendo DS.
- Expert level knowledge of Wolfram mathematica.
- Thorough knowledge of C, Java, SQL, JavaScript, ActionScript, XML, Objective-C, Perl Regular Expressions, Max/MSP, basic knowledge of C++, VB/VBA, JMP (SAS Statistics package), Matlab.
