I also studied the use of quantitative methods to model social phenomena while a Duke Ph.D. student. Lastly, I studied Biostatistics in a Master's degree program at UNC at Chapel Hill

An excellent understanding of algebra is a prerequisite for mastering statistical concepts. In addition, I was employed as a high school mathematics teacher, and taught algebra for 4 years during the late 80s.
