My Expert Service
I provide expert solutions on a variety of mathematical and statistical problems. Most of my experience is in solving real-world problems as they relate to statistics, economics, or computer science. I will not agree to take on your questions unless I am sure that 1) I am qualified, 2) I can complete the work on time, and 3) that you will be completely satisfied with my service. All written responses include step-by-step descriptions of the solution and a list of references used, if any. I have excellent communication skills, and I have a talent for communicating difficult concepts in a nontechnical way that everyone can understand. I have extensive experience in the following areas: time series analysis (including ARIMA models, forecasting, and seasonal adjustment), regression analysis, ANOVA, t-tests, design of experiments, combinatorics, set theory, graph theory, sample design, sample size, large-scale data collection, price indexes, quality assurance, and editing/imputation of data. Because my business is consulting, I usually respond to requests within 24 hours. **If would like to chat with me, but I am not currently online, please send me a message so we can schedule a time for a live chat session.**

Experience & Qualifications
I have over 18 years experience providing statistical consulting services and over 16 years of programming experience (including SAS and S+/R). I worked for 13 years for the US Census Bureau providing support services for various surveys. This included survey design, cost models, regression modeling, statistical time series modeling for forecasting and data exploration, seasonal adjustment, benchmarking, regARIMA time series modeling, hedonic and fixed-weight price indices (using Fischer, Laspeyres, and Passche formulas), quality control, and editing/imputation. I also wrote software in SAS and in FORTRAN for production of both price indexes and seasonal adjustments. I also have extensive experience with the seasonal adjustment packages X-12-ARIMA and TRAMO/SEATS. Before working for the Census Bureau, I worked at University of Iowa Hospitals, providing statistical support for various research projects, especially in the areas of design of experiments and sample size calculations. I have over 9 years of teaching experience, currently teaching statistics at a local university and high school algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. I often teach short courses on time series and seasonal adjustment. I also have experience not just in programming software, but in the area of writing, especially for software manuals and math textbooks. I am now a free-lance consultant working on mostly seasonal adjustment and benchmarking projects with contracts for customers in the United States and Europe.
