I provide expert statistical advice and solutions on a variety of statistical problems from design of experiments to time series analysis. All written responses include step-by-step descriptions of the solution and a list of references used. I have excellent communication skills and a talent for communicating difficult concepts in a nontechnical way that everyone can understand. For statistical analysis, I use R, Minitab, SAS, or Excel. I have extensive experience in the following areas: time series analysis (including ARIMA models, forecasting, and seasonal adjustment), regression analysis, ANOVA, t-tests, design of experiments, sample size, large-scale data collection, price indexes, sample design, quality assurance, and editing/imputation of data. Experience & Qualifications

I have over 18 years experience providing statistical consulting services and over 16 years of programming experience (including SAS and S+/R). I worked for 13 years for the US Census Bureau providing support services for various surveys. This included survey design, cost models, regression modeling, statistical time series modeling for forecasting and data exploration, seasonal adjustment, benchmarking, regARIMA time series modeling, hedonic and fixed-weight price indices (using Fischer, Laspeyres, and Passche formulas), quality control, and editing/imputation. I also wrote software in SAS and in FORTRAN for production of both price indexes and seasonal adjustments. I have extensive experience with the seasonal adjustment packages X-12-ARIMA and TRAMO/SEATS. Before working for the Census Bureau, I worked at University of Iowa Hospitals, providing statistical support for various research projects, especially in the areas of design of experiments and sample size calculations. I have over 9 years of teaching experience, and I am currently an adjunct professor for statistics at a local university. I also teach short courses on time series and seasonal adjustment. I am now a free-lance consultant working on mostly seasonal adjustment and benchmarking projects with contracts for customers in the United States and Europe.
