I'm a biochemistry Ph.D. student at Louisiana State University (graduate May 2010). I have been teaching college level biology & genetics going on four years now. This semester I am teaching two sections of genetics at LSU in addition to tutoring several senior level students in biochemistry.
When people meet me they are usually surprised I do what I do because I come across as a normal young guy in a band & not the super nerd they expect. I have heard from past students & teaching evaluations that my best quality is my ability to put complex subject matter in simple terms (I had to learn how because neither of my parents are scientists & they want to know what I do, ha).
