My Expert Service

I have lived in South Korea, Zambia and Isreal. Each of these places has a unique flavour, a unique way of living. If you want to know what to expect from travel to these places, or what living abroad is like in general, I can help.

In Korea, I travelled around the peninsula and visited many cultural sites. The school in which I taught had many local children who attended, I studied for (and received!) my Korean driver's license, and I took Korean language lessons taught by a local native speaker. All of these different interactions gave me a strong grasp on life in Korea

In Zambia, I lived in Lusaka, the capital city, and I was involved in the choir at the cathedral there, which was made up of local singers. This gave me the chance to really get to know Zambian life well. I was also very involved in the expatriot life there, so I can explain how living abroad can affect you while there and coming back home.

Lastly, I lived in Jerusalem, again teaching in a school. I also became very involved in the life of the city. I sang in the unofficial chorus of the city, I played in a small symphonic band that performed in various places around Jerusalem, and I was choir mistress at the Cathedral Church of St. George, where there is a very active and sizable Palestinian congregation.

Experience & Qualifications

While living in these countries, I worked as a music teacher in an English-language school. However, I also participated in the life of the community and was able to gather a wide and deep appreciation for the life of the people of these countries. I participated in local arts organizations, attending local churches, shopped in the local markets, even taught a college-level "English as a Second Language" course one semester. I know these places well.
