I have been a leader in Response to Intervention--intervening to provide children with the help and interventions needed to keep them learning--to close the learning gap. I have worked with children in kindergarten through ninth grade specializing in reading, math, and written language remediation. I have a deep understanding of the special education process,the IEP, law, and have always acted as an advocate of students and parents.

Masters degree in special education, BS in elementary education, AAS in biology/animal science science - I have worked in the public school system for 25 years and absolutely love helping children and parents--so I am still in public education! I have been involved in Response to Intervention, the new requirement in education. I have had extraordinary success in helping children learn math, reading and written language. The test scores of my students have absolutely rocketed--but I am not just about tests! I love teaching and it shows! My students rock!
