Experience & Qualifications

I have qualification and experience in both one to one counseling and teaching special education to University students and special educators directly working with children with special needs. I have been a counselor in a school in India (Ramjas Public School, Delhi) for students of all age groups, to help improve their personality, self-esteem and academic performance. My work included direct work with students with learning disabilities, and parents/teachers of these children.
In addition to these, I have also worked as a special educator myself and have been part of a diagnostic team for various disabilities in clinical and hospital settings.
I was also appointed as a curriculum planner for preschool trainees and counselor for parents in all their branches (over 10) in Mothers Pride, one of the most elite preschools of Delhi, India.
I have also taken workshops for teachers and parents on various issues for e.g. "How to handle aggression in your child", "Best disciplinary techniques for a classroom", How to improve writing skills of your child", "Slow learners "etc...
I am currently in the final year of my PhD in psychology (in the area of emotional needs of children with autism), also working as a part-time lecturer in Department of Psychology.
Currently I am in the final year of PhD from Department of Psychology in a UK university, in the area of "Emotional needs of children with autism" and also take classes for University students on special education on a part-time basis.
