Experience & Qualifications

Have worked with clients suffering from an array of disorders such as hypertension, migraines, Raynaud's syndrome and for general stress reduction and relaxation purposes, suing biofeedback. EMG, electromygraph feedback for muscle tension, temperature feedback, GSR feedback (glavanic skin response) used to monitor sweating response. By observing real time feedback about these stress level indicators, patients learn to modify physiological functions normally not believed to be under vouluntary control. After an appropriate amount of biofeedback training, these responses generalize, no longer requiring regular biofeedback training. Neurofeedback has been demonstrated to show great promise for ADD/ADHD in particular, but also for a good number of other disorders. Neurofeedback is EEG biofeedback, where the patient is given real time feedback about their brain wave activity and learns to modify it.
