I have been a licensed Radiologic Technologist for over 15 years. I have worked in Trauma Centers as well as local "neighborhood" hospitals, doctor's offices, walk-in emergency care clinics and educational facilities. I have imaging experience with trauma, ICU/CCU, pediatric, NICU, burn unit, bone density, interventional procedures and general radiography. I can answer uqestions as to the nature, duration and expectations for radiographic imaging procedures. I can offer advice on successfully navigating hospital, clinic and doctor's office visits. Experience & Qualifications
|
|
As a radiographic imaging technologist with a decade and a half experience, I have come to understand the fears and uncertainties that patients and their families face when the need for health care intervention occurs. The easiest way to allay those fears is through education. Learning about the ins and outs of hospital department administrations, procedure details, time expectations and procedure pain levels empowers patients. Most patients experience a near total loss of control in a hospital or clinic environment and the more a patient knows beforehand or during the process, the less obscure and frightening the process becomes. I have the knowledge, experience and compassion needed to walk patients through their questions, soothe their concerns and help them get a handle on their quality of care. Lastly, I have been on the other side of that table many times and can offer advice from the patients perspective.
