Experience & Qualifications

I have ten years of experience in the community as an Advisor and Advocate working one-on-one with persons who have been diagnosed as having a mental illness; most often schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse. I provide crisis intervention and education on symptoms and medication management daily.
I have also worked at a domestic violence shelter for women and children, in addition to being a survivor myself. I am also an Adult Child of an Alcoholic and have done extensive research in this area.
