I have spent over 8 years studying major mental illness, including issues specific to minorities and the African-American community. I run several mental health websites, with comprehensive information about anxiety, OCD, and other disorders. I have published research articles in the area of psychometrics and assessment of mental disorders. I have treated patients in hospitals in Virginia and Montreal. I have taught courses at the University of Virginia and University of Pennsylvania. I have served on the board of directors of four non-profit organizations, currently including NAMI. I have written grants and received grant funding. Assistant Professor in Psychiatry.
