I started as a cook in an assisted living facility, then obtained my Certified Nurses Aid License in Kansas, which I used in the assisted and residential/long term (nursing home) setting. I did take a short break from clinical care after moving to Missouri and worked in a pharmacy. Upon completion of my first semester of nursing school, I began work as a Student Assistant in the float pool at Freeman West Hospital. After graduating, I took a position on the Orthopaedic floor at Freeman West for one year, and gained medical surgical expertise. I then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at Freeman Neosho Hospital where I remained until recently. Herem I gained intensive and emergency care knowledge and sharpened my medical surgical skills/knowledge base.
I have chose to continue my education and am finishing up my Bachelors (BSN) degree as we speak! I am highly motivated, especially in academic settings and have plans to enter graduate school with eventual pursuit of PhD and rewarding career in Nursing Education.

Experience & Qualifications

RN- 1 year orthopaedic and medical/surgical experience; 1 year ICU/ER experience.
Student assistant/CNA- 1.5 years hospital float, 5 years residential/long term care and assisted living (Gerantology)
Cook- 6 months in assisted living facility while obtaining Nurse Aide Certification.
Current Certifications include: Basic Life Support Provider, Advanced Cardiac Life Support provider, Adult Trauma Nursing Provider, Emergency Pediatric Nursing and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider.
