I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State for 5 years. I work at a small rural hospital but I also do home care. My job experience is broad: medication administration and pharmacology, wound care and dressings, physical and occupational therapy, intravenous therapy, pre and post surgery care and maintenance, respiratory and cardiovascular therapy, telemetry monitoring and interpretation, chemotherapy and neutropenic concerns, protective and preventative isolation, infection control, patient & family health teaching as well as community outreach teaching.
