I am passionate about parenting and dedicated to the experience of being a parent. I believe we all have a confident intuitive parent within us but need help to clear a path to find the answers inside of us. We live in a time where information about how to parent our children is every where. We are bombarded by information from the internet, books, family and friends. This advice, though helpful at times, more often than not confuses us and leads us away from the path of our intuitive parent within. I am interested in the spiritual aspect of parenting which is fostering a loving relationship with our children and creating a space for yourself to continue to grow throughout this journey. Peaceful parenting requires constant awareness of where you are in the moment and how your own past experiences at similar developmental ages as your child may affect your reactions and interactions with your child. As an intuitive parent coach I offer compassionate, non-judgmental listening. It is through this thoughtful listening process that I can get to the heart of your experience and ask the appropriate thought-provoking questions that lead you to the answers that you so desire.

Experience & Qualifications

|
I have over twenty years experience working with children and parents as a teacher, nanny, art therapist and, most importantly, I am the mother of two beautiful children. As a nanny I have the gift of nurturing and teaching other people’s children, from newborns through to their teen years. I have knowledge of family dynamics and feel a deep appreciation for the love that parents have for their children and the enormous challenge it is to raise them. As an art teacher I have learned about children and how they express themselves both artistically and socially. My art therapy education focused on early childhood development physically, psychosocially, and intellectually. Most importantly the blessing of being a mother has given me the privilege of loving a child of my own. The toughest part of being a mother is being gentle and affirming with myself and giving myself space to reconnect with the woman I was before having children.
In addition to being a parent coach I am an abstract painter. I have a deep appreciation of different cultures and I am open to all types of parenting situations, parenting partnerships, and family types, i.e. adoptive, gay and lesbian, and single parents as well as multicultural/biracial and blended families.
