I am dedicated to helping families discover positive ways to include their k9 companion before and as their family grows. I offer behavioral solutions, private one on one phone or email consults as well as workshops for new & expecting parents. My goal is to work with each family individually and identify their goals as well as develope a plan to successfully meet those goals.

Experience & Qualifications

I have over 15 years of experience working with dogs and children. I hold a degree in Special Education with a focus on behavior modification. I spent years working with adults and children with a variety of disabilities. I enjoyed this part of my career very much. Some of the positions I have held are Early intervention lead teacher, Asst director for Residential camp for adults and children with Disabilities, Residential Manager for Group home of Teenagers and adults. I am the Mother of 3 children ages 8,6 and 3. I also have been a Nursing Moms Counselor for over 7 years. I enjoy this very much and that is another reason I enjoy working with new & expecting families.
As a family we have fostered over 50 dogs in our home and many cats through a variety of rescues. I am a former President of German Shepherd Rescue and continue to offer behavioral advice to many local and National rescues.
I currently am the US Coordinator for Doggone Safe (www.doggonesafe.com) an international non profit organization dedicated to Dog Bite prevention education.
I have run my successful private practice for three years now. I have created a workshop for new & expecting parents called Dogs & Storks which I offer monthly.
I continue to research and stay up to date in the field of canine behavior through professional organizations.
