My Expert Service

For 25+ years Rev. "Doc" Lindsey, DMin, PhD, has worked to grow personally by helping others in their person-growth exoeriences.
Beginning his journey as a recovering alcoholic almost three decades ago, Doc started out "in the trenchs" counseling drunk-to-drunk as a Detox Technician while working a 12-step program.
Realizing he had much more to offer, Doc was encouraged toward traditional academic education.
He began, at the bottom of the ladder once more, with an Associates Degree in Human Services, winning his college's Psychology-Chairs Award of High distinction.
Doc went from the community college to Seminary, seeking greater spiritual development and achieved a Bachelors, then his Masters degree in Pastoral Counseling.
Alway eclectic in his vision, Doc pursued esoteric areas of personal growth, constantly adding to his experience and acquiring tools in Natural Health approachs, Tibetan herbalism, shamanism, the Red Road of the Native American Iroquois, Cheyenne, Zapotica and Mayan Indians, Eastern thought, martial arts, and yoga.
Returning to the academic arena, Doc achieved his DMin in Pastoral Psychology and finally a PhD in Counseling Psychology.
Along with his spouse -Selma Lindsey, MSW and CADC- Doc began a private pastoral counseling practice in rural Appalachia. While there he explored the dynamics of death, dying and griefwork as a volunteer hospice Chaplain.
Doc has served with traditional social-work agencies, penal systems, and state programs as a private consultant.
He continues his program of personal growth, his counseling ministry, and has expanded into areas of body-work including massage, accupressure, reflexology and reiki.
After three decades of working with others, Doc continues his own 12-step journey, spiritual practice, and ongoing pursuit of balance.
