I received my Bachelors degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in 1999. I received my Gerontologic certification in 2003. I am certified in Emergency medicine by the board of nursing. I received my Masters degree in Nursing with a concentration in education and research at the University of Phoenix in 2005. I have worked many years in long term care enviroments, 1 year in Hospice nursing and 8 years in critical care and emergency room nursing. I work with the geriatric population daily and have a vast knowledge base concerning education, medication, illnesses, disease processes, and a genre of treatment modialities concerning geriatrics.

Geriatric patients are my speciality. I have conducted and published many drug and research studies on their behaviors and their mental status changes that apply to geriatric patients diagnosis. I received my Gerontologic certification in 2003. I have worked many years in long term care, 1 year in Hospice nursing and 8 years in critical care and emergency room nursing. I have donated my services to Doctors without boarder on seven different occasions diong mission trips to Peru, Egypt and China. These trips were to provide healthcare to populations without access to healthcare. We did general clinics, surgical procedures and referrals to specialists.
