My expertise in kitchen designing comes about by my years of experience and training on the job and at Iowa State University. One design basic that I will always remember is "Form follows Function". This statement was used in the teachings of every class at Iowa State. This holds true in kitchen design as well. Throughout high school I excelled in Architectual drafting. I went on to Iowa State University, after high school. Course work at ISU included Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design and Consumer and Family Sciences. I graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer and Family Sciences with an emphasis in Housing and the Near Environment. It was in Housing and the Near Environment actually that exposed me to kitchen design. One of the core classes was in kitchen design. After college I worked for thirteen years in home improvement stores
